I cannot find any lead how to change this behaviour. The problem is that when I install the Visio Preview that does install in the correct directory and as it cannot find common components it reinstalls those.
I would very much like to have an MSI based install, but I cannot find a link to the MSI installer the links presented elsewhere do not work as the buyoffice-site does not show my product. So unfortunately I cannot download the MSI based version and thus still have the installation path problem. In those cases, you can run the script under elevated permissions, so the users will not need to have admin privileges on their computers. After running the command, the Office installation should start immediately.
After Office has deployed to the pilot group, test Office in your environment, particularly with your hardware and device drivers. For more details, see Choose your update channels. After you've finished testing Office with the pilot group, you can deploy it to the broad group.
To do so, run the following command from a command prompt with admin privileges:. This command is the same as the pilot group, except that it references the configuration file for the broad group.
